What is Stress



What is Stress? It is one of the major causes of depression (and other disorders) and it arises when you simply don't have the resources to cope with what you need to cope with.


Capacities - physical, mental, emotional, - to deal with the circumstances of your life are reduced, leading to a sense of being disempowered by these circumstances:


When the organism is, in a sense, too weak to deal adequately with what's demanded of it.


In this site, my purpose is to show you that it is possible to make a huge difference to your ability to cope effectively and override this tension by using psycho-physical exercises and processes that awaken your vital energy and create greater inner strength, balance and well-being.


In other words I aim to give you some powerful keys to happiness!

To answer the question 'What is Stress?' we need to realise that stress and depression (and other disorders) are closely linked, they feed off each other.


We all have our threshold of being able to deal with the circumstances and demands of life,whether they are physical, mental or emotional.


Tension occurs when we are asked to go beyond this limit of our capacity in any of these areas.


Most of these psycho-physical problems are caused ultimately by a low personal threshold, which means a significantly decreased ability to deal with our life.


And the reason that we have that low threshold is due to past (and present) traumas which have caused (and are causing) deterioration in our brains and nervous systems.


This has profound implications for our potential for growth and for the ageing process, let alone our happiness.
