His approach for modern man is to be active by expressing yourself bodily, whether in dancing, shaking, singing, pillow beating etc... to get rid of the accumulated stress - 'madness' even - in us, the repressed tensions.
Osho's view is that only when one de-stresses oneself and accesses well-being can one be relaxed enough to have enough 'space' inside to experience the 'witness', a key step in learning to meditate.
In fact, throw off your accumulated tensions and that part will tend to happen by itself.

Try some of these easy meditation techniques that appeal to you and then take up any you enjoy.
The Dynamic Meditation (throwing out the inner madness and raising your energy level), The Nadabrahma (Tibetan-style humming, quiet but powerful), The Kundalini (shaking and dancing), and The Nataraj (dancing) are his main techniques, but, as he says: 'you can make any activity, a meditation, so we even have for instance the Smoking Meditation!
If you just make a regular daily practice of one or more of your own choosing - ideally for at least a month or more, preferably three months - you will have yourself not only a stress reduction program but your very own meditation course!
